This is my second Mahindra tractor. I had purchased a new 2004 2615 HST 4wd. It was a great tractor. I had no problems with it what so ever. When I decided to get a larger tractor, I did the same as with the 2615 and compared to the other guys. Just as before, the Mahindra was a heavier, better built and better priced unit.
The 2010 5035 4wd is perfect for what I do, which is bush hogging, cleaning horse barn, moving hay, and some landscaping type work. It is compact enough to get into the barn with, just lower the ROPS. The turning radius is unbelievable for a 50 hp tractor! The low profile and width of the tractor extremely stable when bush hogging. The weight of the tractor and reach of the loader makes it very stable for loading/unloading round bales on/off a deck over trailer. The extendable lower arms makes hooking attachments a breeze, even by yourself. I did go with shuttle shift this time instead of HST. No problems with HST before, just wanted little extra hp at pto.
I purchased the tractor from Mountain Farm International Inc. in Crossville, TN. They were not the closest dealer, (about 100 miles away) but gave me the best deal. The service after the sell has been unbelievable! The owner, salesman and entire staff have always gone out of their way to assist me in anything I have needed. You would have thought I bought a dozen of the most expensive
tractors on the lot! It has been well worth that extra drive...Don't know which to brag on the most, the tractor or the dealer.
BOUGHT THE 3016 SHUTTLE JULY 2011. I IMMEDIATLY PUT IT TO WORK. EVERYTHING FROM MOVING DIRT,HAULING THREE QUATER TON OF FEED ON FEED WAGON ,UNLOADING 1200 POUND OF FEED OF TRACTOR TRAILERS,I AM SURE IT WILL DO JUST FINE WHEN TIME COMES TO DISC HARROW. I ONLY OWNED IT ONE MONTH, BUT I AM GLAD I MADE THIS PURCHASE. ALL CONTROLS ON THIS TRACTOR ARE IN THE RIGHT LOCATION FOR EFFORTLESS OPERATION
I spent over a year searching for just the right tractor, and i kept returning to the Mahindra website staring at a 2216 4WD w/ loader and soft cab. I test drove one in the fall of '10, and after that, it was almost an obsession until I finally bought it. I am continually impressed with the capability of this machine and how easy it is to operate. I've moved gravel, spread topsoil, repaired driveways, pushed over small trees, pulled a neighbors dock out....all with a smile on my face. This is one potent tractor. It is truly amazing what you can do in low range and 4WD with this little beast. I purchased a 5' snowblower with the tractor, now i can hardly wait for winter!
PS..My 2 year old daughter demands that i take her for a ride almost every day.
After researching equipment, cost versus durability, I finalized my search with the purchase of this unit. I have typically been a John Deere man but I will have to say the Mahindra equipment is not only simple to operate and maintain, but is constructed of quality materials (castings/sheet metal). The ease of the the shuttle shift to the quick adjustments of the lift for attachments makes this an enjoyable piece of equipment to operate, and last but not least, the safety features allow me to let my 13 year old son, operate it solo with out any supervision. How ever there are a few issues of assembly and design, with a little tweeking, will make this a very compatible machine.
My Church group of 17 volunteers and my Mahindra tractor set on Joplin Mo, to assist in the clean up efforts. The tractor performed excellent and did the work of many moving debris, etc with the front loader. Thanks for such a great tractor and serving a good call. I will be going back with the tractor to help some more.
It took me a while to decide on whitch tractor to purchase because there are so many of them out there. After going from one brand to another, I decited to buy a MAHINDRA. The 2516 HST is the perfect size for me because I'm a big person and I needed something that fit me and do the job that I had to get done.I had a problem with the seat belt at first, it was not long enough and the dealer went out of his way to resolve this problem by getting me a seat belt extention. With the size, power, and easy contrals it was the idael tractor. With the job I have I operated every brand of tractor out there and I recommend the MAHINDRA tractor. The dealer and the people that work there was kind and curtious.
I now have 6 hours on this tractor. So far so good. I have used it to mow my lawn twice and have also have skidded fire wood with it. It is a good heavy tractor and seems to plenty of power. The ML115 loader that the tractor has on it is very nice. Lots of lifting power and easy on/off as I don't like loader on while mowing.
I use my 3016 (gear)to clean up about 6 acres of trees that frequently fall due to drought/disease and for mowing and moving dirt/rocks. I am amazed at the power this tractor has. I bought a fork lift attachment and easily move around 20 in. diameter, 10ft. long hickory, oak, and ash logs. The shuttle is really handy. Even my wife likes it, although she doesn't normally "like" tractors, only the work I do with them. The dealer/Paul was very helpful and easy to work with. I recommend the Mahindra fully, and Giles Farm Equipment (about 50 miles from my home) and Paul the salesperson.
I purchased this tractor from an estate sale with just 46 hours on it. I now have 330+ hours. There have been absolutely no problems. It has more power than my MX5100 Kubota, and I would rather use it. It has real sheet metal for fenders and hood not like most tractors this day and time. Engine is great sound like an old International
When I bought my Mahindra I was looking for a good used deal in our local Bulliton Board. And did I find it. I have an 05 model 4500 4WD W/loader, shuttle shift and ind. tires.Only had 175 hrs.It now has 950 hrs.I round bail with a New Holland 946 bailer. Cut with a 7 ft. disk mower.I have uesd it to cut and drag literaly tons of firewood. load and unload logs. I could go on and on. Bottom line. If I needed another tractor I would not look at anything but a Mahindra.
