I know I just got my tractor yesterday but I love it!! it is just my size. My husband has a 5500. Too big for me. I am almost 5ft. tall. So I needed something smaller just for me. He has been so pleased with his that it was a no brainer which one I would choose, just wanted people (little ladies like me) there is a tractor for them out there. A Mahindra!

Awesome tractor does everything I ask of it. Working on clearing 10 acres with this machine. Dont know how I would accomplish this task without Mahindra 1815. Looked at orange "tractor" bx series, more money, looks like a stamped steel sears tractor 13k+!!! Great dealer support, Erie Power. Excellent warranty support no complaints. Would buy another Mahindra and always tout prouduct.
Attachments include, 3pt finish mower,5ft backblade, york rake,3pt tooth and most importantly 1710a backhoe attachment!

Pros:
Stability, warranty, dealer support.
Cons:
Dual cup holders absent.

I had a Kubota about the same size and had nothing but problems dealing with the local dealer. Swantak gave me a great deal trading it in on the new Mahindra tractor and mid-mount mower.
The Mitsubishi engine is great, plenty of power and runs all day long brush hogging or using the finish mower.
I ended up taking the mid-mount deck off, and buying a 3 pt hitch finish mower, much easier to get on and off.
I use this tractor year round, it is a real workhorse!

Pros:
Weight, engine, transmission, traction and price.
Cons:
How the mid-mount mower hooks up

This is my first tractor and I wish I had gotten one sooner. I didn't shop around too much as everything I read about size, weight and performance kept leading me to the Mahindra. Gray's gave me an excellent price and some additional incentives. We live in the snow belt east of Lake Ontario and get anywhere from 10 to 20 FEET of snow per season. This little tractor did a superb job last year with a 5 foot rear mounted blower. One storm dumped 3+ feet in less than a day and the 2516 chewed right through it. The loader will lift anything that will fit in it. I also use it for mowing with a 5 foot rear finish mower. I have kept rough track of the fuel consumption and that is another suprising benefit - about one gallon of diesel per hour under full working load. Haven't had any problems in the first year of ownership and couldn't be happier with the purchase. I'd give it a 5 if you made a cab for it.

Pros:
Power, fuel consumption, dependability
Cons:
No factory cab available (it's cold up here in January)

This tractor has done everything mahindra said it would and more. I have done a few jobs with its so far and its never failed me. The biggest job was filling in a inground swimming pool. I moved 100 yards of fill into the pool which the fill had to be dumped at the bottom of the hill due to the dump trucks not being able to get up the hill. The tractor had plenty of power to to get the fill where it needed to go. I also used the tractor to remove the 6 inch thick slab of concrete around the pool that was not broken up first i just got under the slab and lifted, i could not beleive how easy it just ripped it apart. It truly does lift more and weigh more than any other tractor in that hp range. I am currently re-grading and 1/4 mile long driveway that a bulldozer should be used for but this tractor is handling it with no problems.

Pros:
great lifting power
Cons:
will lift the rear tires of the ground even with weight in the rear.

Dollar for dollar the best value for your money. I compared Kubota,John Deere & Branson before making my decision. I use this tractor for light farm work, yard work and landscaping. I purchased the front end loader and pull behind finish mower. Check out Mahindra before buying anything else, you won't be disappointed!

Pros:
value, power, ease of use!
Cons:
toe /heel pedal, would be better suited with two seperate pedals.
