I bought this tractor to pile cut cedar and to mow. Some of the cedar is up to 20 inches in diamenter at the base and I have not regretted getting this machine as it has delivered on everything I have asked it to do. I have had one issue with the PTO. It failed to work after I had not used it for about 80 hours. I found the culprit to be a solenoid that gets stuck and needs to be reset and silicone sprayed. Doing this took care of the problem. Easy fix. I really like the flat platform since I'm on and off this tractor a lot throughout each working day. I would like to see the FEL a little stronger but it has worked for me and I have not babied it.

I bought my Mahindra 4110 in July 2004 with R-4 tires, FEL w/QA system, 72" bucket and pallet forks for a total price of $19,800.
I now have a little over 20hrs on it spent mostly hauling dirt to fill and level out an old house foundation. I am very impressed with the ability of this tractor, the only thing I noticed is the rear end gets a little light with a full bucket so either loading the rear tires or keeping a ballast box or heavier implement on the 3pt is advisable. As soon as I hooked up my 3pt scoop the tractor was very solid and stable.
I really like all the features that come standard on this unit like rear hyd. remote, draft control, tilt steering, suspension seat, folding armrests, etc... The one thing I don't like is the placement of the fuel tank/filler neck behind the seat. Its difficult and awkward to reach and fill especially when pouring from a can and really restricts your vision of the hitch area directly behind the tractor.
The only problem I've had is a small hydraulic leak on the loader joystick where the quick connect fitting threads into the valve body. While I feel this was a warrenty issue I couldn't see making my dealer drive 40 miles for a 10 cent O-ring that took me 15 minutes to replace, but I did call him about it, however this kind of problem could happen to any brand.
Overall I am very pleased with the price and features of my tractor and would recommend a Mahindra to anyone.

After having the tractor for a year I have no complaints. It is a well built machine with some nice features not always found on the competition's tractors, like an auxilary hyd. valve comes standard on it. I have used it for a variety of tasks on our small horse farm.

i spent a lot of time shopping for this tractor, my first. the closest dealer to me is 3 miles and they are great but they dont sell mahindra tractors, it would have been very convenient for me to buy from them. i tried to talk myself into it but mahindra just looked more heavy duty and the price was better. i got a 4500 2wd, ml260 fel, 6' mohawk brave shredder, 6' box blade, and a 16' trailer for $17895.00, the competetion wanted that much for just the tractor and loader, speaking of the loader, the ml260 is stronger looking than the others and the subframe look like it belongs on a tank or bulldoser. one more thing the 4500 comes with a set of remote valves, it wasnt standard equitment on the others in the same hp range. i now have 49 hours on it and i am very happy with my choise.

Pros:
very stable with heavy load in front end loader, very heavy 3 point hitch adjustable on both sides, easier to steer than any automobile
Cons:
need a 20' gooseneck and a 3/4 ton truck to haul it.

Had Mahindra two weeks and already 30 hours on it. Size, manueverabilty, driving, shifting, FEL joy stick, all well placed but yet, nothing in the way as rubbing leg while trying to shift etc. Been zero or near zero counting wind chill factors and tractor starts instantly. I allow it to idle at least fifteen minutes before operating. The FEL roll, down and up is extremely slow. I can live with it, however it should be three times faster than what it is doing presently. The hoe part, a Bradco 511, 11'2" digging depth, is totally awesome to say the least. Plumbed into the tractors 8gpm open center circuit and using a diverter valve. It too, is kind of slow. However, I want this end to be slow purposely. Of the almost 30 hours, 19 of them are hoe related. It is powerful, has great reach for dumping spoil (14ft), anti swing lock and boom lock. This 511 is the same hoe as on the l48 Kubota. (Or so I'm told). I got it w/24" HD bucket. Pulled rocks from 8ft down 1/2 the size of the 72" FEL. Roll the bucket, pull a little on dipper and drag the rocks on out. No dead pulls or the like. I would recommend a Bradco regardless of tractor color or size. Mounting, dis-mounting hoe section is near impossible. Once seated, there is plenty of leg room, movement room. Controls are easy and well laid out. Have a relief valve to slow hoe swing. I have it turned so low, breathing on the valve will shut it down from swinging. Again. I want slow hoe movements.(Bradco/Mahindra can work on welded steps incorporated into frame. The hoe hangs on it's own sub frame, (huge) ending at the FEL mount point in front. Very easy to remove, and leaving plenty of room for any three pt hitch attachment.
I bought a new Fisher plow blade, drilling holes 5/8 through FEL bucket. Grade 8 bolts fed up through plow blade through bottom of bucket, using lock nuts top side. A great cutting edge and more so, saving the bucketr from premature wear and tear. 7 bolts holding the plow blade on and the blade protrudes one inch past each end, total 74 1/2 inches. Dealer, Johnson automotive, added a set of floods facing front and another facing rear which are bolted to custom brackets under top side of rops bar. They also added 3 X 4 angle iron to stiffen top edge of FEL bucket, then welded lift hook in center. Over all fit, finish and paint is superb. Tractor is jsut the right size for most jobs. Mahindra "got it together" as far as 41 hp diesel engine. 12/12 shuttle shift. Great ergonomic layout gauges, levers, etc. Not a loud tractor while operating. As all others on TBN net complain about Mahindra's headlight system. It's true, there next to useless. That is why I asked the dealer to mount two sets of floods. Glad I did now. I now question if I should have gone with the new 55 hp model and bigger hydraulics. It was a tough decision to either buy the 4110 which was in stock or wait until who knows when for a 55 hp 4 X4 model. Remember the long shoreman strike in California? How does that strike effect delivery?
Over all, minus hard to mount soe seating area and headlights, I would recommend the Mahindra 4110 to anyone. I run a JD710 hoe almost daily and hourly. To compare this Mahindra to the big boys and for size, power, and what you can expect apples to apples, you can't go wrong with Mahindra. They're dealer support and main office support is exemplary to say the least.
