I purchased my first Mahindra tractor in 1999. It was a 4505DI 2WD. It was a great tractor with absolutely no problems. That was the main reason I purchased another Mahindra. I wanted 4WD so I went with the 4530 4WD. Let me tell you, this tractor is a beast! Everything about it is massive! No plastic fenders here. Mahindra put a lot of thought into the design. All the controls are right where you need them and the operators area is very spacious. Last but not least, this tractor is just downright GOOD LOOKING! I catch myself in the barn just staring at "Tank". Yes, I named my tractor. It's kind of a bonding thing! I've owned my 4530 just over 60 days now and I'm already mounting up the hours. By the way, I studied on Kubota and Deere but Mahindra is definitely more bang for the buck. This is a very, very solid tractor and once again I am completely satisfied. Sincerely, Perry TuminelloPros:

Excellent tractor, large operator platform, controls are handy, and above all, plenty of power to ooerate the equipment that I have. The tractor is heavy enough to transfer the power to the ground. I am extremely satisfied in my Mahindra.Pros:

I bought my tractor Sep06 and use it almost on a daily basis. This tractor is worth every $. The weight, the performance, lifting capacity etc. everything you need or looking for is in this tractor. It is funny, but I also named my tractor “Tank” and believe me this is no understatement. I use the tractor on a farm with 43 acres and since I had the reactor I had no problem what so ever. I bought my 4530 4WD with a loader, and the only minus point is that the loader if operated in cold conditions (0F) is a little bit stubborn. It could be that the hydraulic oil is the wrong type for this kind of temperatures. But all in all I can recommend this tractor to anybody. Be aware this is not a “SISY” tractor; it is a “Tank”Pros:

I was looking at a few other brands when the 4530 caught my eye... I first started using implemts that you would think you would use with a 45 hp tractor.. I learned quickly that they were too small.. I now mow with a 7 foot pull behind mower.. (I have used a 15 foot batwing a few times, low range 2nd gear) I just plowed my hay field of 15 acres with a 4 bottom plow. I pull a 10 foot disc..when you hear what this tractor can do, it sounds like it's all made up.. Well let me tell you.. This little Ol, tractor will work as hard as you. this is not the 45 horse tractor to just load on that little hunting trailer and haul to the deer lease... it's big and heavy, and ready to work....Pros:
don't have to add water to the tires,, super strong loader. and so so so fun to keep up with them big deeres.Cons:
I have had a few problems with the 3 point.. the draft control pin has stuck so the 3 point will not lift..Rating

When I bought my Mahindra I was looking for a good used deal in our local Bulliton Board. And did I find it. I have an 05 model 4500 4WD W/loader, shuttle shift and ind. tires.Only had 175 hrs.It now has 950 hrs.I round bail with a New Holland 946 bailer. Cut with a 7 ft. disk mower.I have uesd it to cut and drag literaly tons of firewood. load and unload logs. I could go on and on. Bottom line. If I needed another tractor I would not look at anything but a Mahindra. ThanksPros:

My pertiular model had weak paint. (Faided badly) But like the old saying> Clothes don't make the man" and paint don't make the tractor.Rating

After researching equipment, cost versus durability, I finalized my search with the purchase of this unit. I have typically been a John Deere man but I will have to say the Mahindra equipment is not only simple to operate and maintain, but is constructed of quality materials (castings/sheet metal). The ease of the the shuttle shift to the quick adjustments of the lift for attachments makes this an enjoyable piece of equipment to operate, and last but not least, the safety features allow me to let my 13 year old son, operate it solo with out any supervision. How ever there are a few issues of assembly and design, with a little tweeking, will make this a very compatible machine.Pros:
Shuttle shifting, three-point stabilizers, stage 1 & 2 hitch balls incorperated, ease of steering, foot speed control, simplicity of operation, power of the engine.Cons:
Position of steering wheel, doesn't have tilt wheel, doesn't have pull dip stick, High-Low range shifter placement interferes with dismounting, seat is poorly designed and mounted (after 29 hours, all 4 mounting nuts came off of seat, almost fell off), wiring harnesses not mounted securely.Rating

I've had this tractor for a couple of months now. I got the tractor with a front end loader and a new 5' brush hog. The tractor has plenty of power. The loader bucket seems bigger than most and has handled everything I have thrown at it. My field used to take 6 hours on my old Ford. This Mahindra got it done in 3 hours. Overall I am quite pleased. This tractor does have an issue with PTO engagement. It is a really hard starting son of a gun and thus eats sheer pins. I am told there is a retrofit kit for this. If this were fixed this tractor would have five stars in my book.Pros:
Power, capabilityCons:
