  An honest review: I can see why this is the most admired Tractor in America, it's tough and dependable. After the Dealer unloaded my Tractor, he went over all the necessary components and service ports, oil, hydraulic fluid and all. Very friendly and courteous. Pros . ..Dependable, ready controls, handling, performance, plenty of power, comfortable seating, easy serviceable air filter and radiator screen, easy access to battery. Cons. . Service of Oil Filter, Dipstick location, (no fluid in FWD when delivered), strange noises from right hub, sloppy fit of FEL, FEL hydraulic lines are behind a sharp step, with no guard, brush guard needs improvement, flimsy hood latch mechanism inside hood; it bends easily, no underneath guards, unshielded rear blinkers, plastic fenders break easily. Sucks lots of diesel in cutter operation, needs longer pedal on rear wheel lock, needs relocation of step on bucket control side of Tractor, [move it forward], brush guards on all hoses, flimsy yoke guard on front drive shaft. I don't think anyone could put a Tractor (3616), through an any more rigorous workout as I can. I USE this Tractor; I don't pet it. I clear brush, push down trees, (4-5" dia), load gravel, dig stumps, build wilderness road in 4WD operation, move large tree trunks and have dug a small pond. . . One tough Tractor. I am very impressed with my 3616 as I press it to the the limits of it's performance. I may have bought a smaller tractor than I needed, but was assured it would do the job. As far as Cons go, I have had to straighten out the hood latch plate under the hood, (limb came through brush guard and pushed hood up), straighten out pin that holds headlight grill by hood release, blinker light broke off, straighten out yoke guard on front drive shaft, install a rubber hose guard on FEL control hoses and quick tie hoses together, grease the rattling pins and 'sets' that hold FEL to frame. Had to buy special oil filter wrench for oil filter change, (should be included), [50 hr service]. Would I buy another one? You bet! Can't beat the Price vs Performance. Over-all, in spite of what I have listed as Cons, Mahindra builds one tough little Tractor.

  Review:
  I got a good deal on this tractor being a year old on the lot. I needed a cab tractor because of my allergies when I mow or do dirtwork. When you walk up to this tractor you would think it's too small to get any real work done, but don't let it fool you. Overall: Great little tractor, and in the 100 degree heat that we have in Texas, I was mowing in 70 degree a/c weather. Put a 72" or 84" finishing mower behind this thing, and you can throw away that zero-turn or riding mower. I'll save you the shopping time: the comparable 3520 John Deere is $36k, I picked the Mahindra 3616 up for $21k with a loader.

  Pros:
  Plenty of power, great traction, good visibility out the cab, quiet, good suspension, turning radius is incredible, small enough to get under and around trees, doesn't tear up sod on turns, price, price, oh and price.

  Cons:
  1) There is a wierd noise that occurs in tight turns within the cab, I can't hear it from the outside. Haven't figured out what it is yet.
