  I have enjoyed using my 5035 HST for the last year. It is the best peice of equipment I have ever owned. My last tractor was a Mahindra 6530 and this tractor even with less HP seems to do more with better ease of use. The HST works flawlessly and makes loader/grapple work a breeze. I can not image there is any other tractor brand that can come close to the functionality, durability and reliability in this price range.

  Pros:
  Everything: warranty, torque, features, reliability, service, weight distribution, comfort

  Cons:
  None to date except 2 auxillary hydraulics would be benificial at times.

  Review:
  I had a 2008 3215 HST that was a great tractor, just too small for what I needed. After working with Kris Liles at Straub International in Salina, KS I got a GREAT trade in value for it. I moved into the 5035 HST because of the lifting capabilities. I am a huge fan of the HST and for what I do around the barns I need the control. With a bum knee the clutch work isn't fun. I stayed with Mahindra because of the workmanship and value. I cannot say enough about Kris and Straub Int. While I have nowhere near the hours I would like to have (yet) I know I won't be disappointed. I move 1800 lb bales and have no problem with the loader and power. The only downside is the rear is just a tad light. I do not what to fill the tires so a ballast box is in order.

  Wish it was a tad heaver in the rear,

  Almost three years ago I purchased a Mahindra 2816 Shuttle with the loader attachment. it was my first tractor and to be honest I had no experience with a this type of machinery. My wife and I made the purchase to ease the cleanup of our future retirement property. For those those three years it performed beyond my expectations and left relatives and friends in awe with it lift and pull abilities, most were who custom to other manufacturers. This past winter we need to take down some larger trees. As usual the 2816 performed well, but I realized that a larger tractor would better suit future needs. So, my wife and I again made the trip to our Mahindra dealer. We looked at the selection and quickly became attracted to the 5035. With it's large operating station, lift capacity, and standards features, it did not take long to arrange a delivery date (next day). I think what shocked us the most was the trade in value of our 2816. It's depreciation was only 20%. After delivery of the 5035 I quickly put it to use to dig up some concrete footers. This beast did not back down from the challenge. It's amazing strength was notice by the onlookers and quickly emailed to other family members. We did purchase an after market root rake, which takes less than a minute to connect. With this attachment I was able to lift the longest footer (16') into a nearby dumpster. This 5035 HST is a GORILLA with hand controls!

  Pros:
  Large control station, seat, lifting strength, the HST is the way to go after owning a Shuttle.

  Cons:
  It has a small tool box.
