Mahindra is proud to announce that Anirban Ghosh has been appointed as President, Mahindra USA, Inc. (MUSA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., based in Tomball, Texas. Ghosh replaces Derek Johannes, who has been president of Mahindra USA, Inc. since August 2001, who will assume new responsibilities in the Mahindra Group.

Since 1999, Ghosh was with the Farm Equipment Sector of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. While at Mahindra and Mahindra, he served as Head-Strategy and Planning, Head-Product Management, General Manager-Sales, and Head-Business Planning. Prior to his career at Mahindra, he worked in the Indian businesses of Xerox and Hewlett-Packard. He graduated as the Best All-Round Graduate from Jadavpur University, a premier engineering school in India and has been through a doctoral programme in business management at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad – regarded as one of the top three business schools in Asia Pacific.
Johannes has led Mahindra USA from annual sales of 2,000 tractors to more than 10,000. Under his leadership, the business has expanded to include almost the entire United States and the Mahindra brand has developed as the preferred tractor brand in the United States.
